- One day back in 2005, I got drunk with a friend and we decided to stop working on our then-active socio-political website, but continue to do something in the world of web. Heavy music was one of our common interests and within a few months PureGrainAudio was born. What began as a hobby has grown into way more than we could have ever expected. Prior to 2003 they were known as Tetra Splendour (during which time they moved to Cardiff from their original hometown of Porthcawl) and before that (circa 2000) they went by the name of Robots in the Sky.

Puscifer is a side project of Maynard James Keenan from the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle. As Keenan is the only permanent member and he considers the project to be his "creative subconscious", Puscifer could also be considered a pseudonym for his solo work.

The band formed after the break-up of two other Manitoba bands, The Pets from Steinbach and Novillero from Winnipeg. In 2002 The Waking Eyes released a full-length album, Combing the Clouds. This was followed up by their 2004 album, Video Sound. The line up in the band changed when bassist Russ Duerksen left and Joey Penner was introduced.

Pop Evil is an American post-grunge band from Muskegon, Michigan. It was formed in 2001 by Leigh Kakaty, Dave Grahs, Jamie Nummer, and Dylan Allison. Lead guitarist Tony Greve was originally added as a temporary/studio guitarist for the band, but then was invited to become a full-time member in early 2007.
