The UK's finest young hope for progressive death metal, Nexilva, released their new album, Eschatologies, on April 7th to solid reviews across the web (check out the song "The Misdirection of God" below). A unrelenting journey across the lands of deathcore, black, death, and technical metal, Eschatologies is a disarmingly progressive and mature release from an impressively young band (all aged from 20-22). We caught up with vocalist Gary King, guitarist Simon Atkinson, and bassist Ryan Banks and asked them some of our more provocative questions.

Most public situation you've projectile vomited?
Atkinson: The entrance to Universal Studios in Florida.

Banks: Outside of college after drinking a slushy to help relieve my hangover.

Any near-death experiences?
Atkinson: We were nearly wiped out by an overtaking lorry on a Winter drive back from shooting the video for "Eshcatologies."

King: I got trapped in a drain at the factory I work at that was filling up with water.

If you could choose, how would you die?
Atkinson: Floating off into space.

Banks: In my sleep.

If someone stole all your band’s gear, then you caught the dickwad and no one would ever know what happened next, what would you do to him?
Atkinson: Scaphism.

Banks: Call him a dick.

What scares the absolute shit out of you?
Banks: Mushrooms.

King: Being in tight spaces.

Atkinson: Gary.

Your instrument/gear (drums, guitar, etc.) has a catastrophic failure on-stage and you have no back-up, what do you do?
Atkinson: Give up and just watch from side stage.

Name some of your biggest pet peeves. You know... the ones that make you want to wreck shit!
Atkinson: People who walk too slow.

King: Rudeness.

Banks: Females when they shout.

If you weren't a musician or totally in love with your job, you’d be...
Atkinson: A hermit in the highlands.

Banks: In an office with my head down, knee deep in my own shit.

How often have you/do you pirate music? What about Movies and TV shows?
Atkinson: All the time; however, if I really like an album and the artist I'll support them by buying merch.

What is your stance on the legalization of marijuana?
Everyone: Do it!

Describe your wildest drug experience.
King: Salvia.
