Swedish epic metallers Sabaton will release their sixth studio album 'Carolus Rex' in North America on May 22nd and in Europe on May 25th. The theme of the album is the Swedish Empire; lyrical references are to the Kingdom of Sweden between 1561 and 1721 and are sung entirely in Swedish.
Topshelf Records will be re-issuing Moving Mountains' 2008 'Foreword' EP on gatefold vinyl, featuring new cover art by East Fork Studio artist Sam Kaufman. A limited-edition colored vinyl version will also be available for Record Store Day on April 21st. Canadian eclectic rock outfit Mother's Green recently released their brand new full-length album, 'Swimming In The Sun. This album comes as a follow-up to the band's first full-length, self-titled release, which hit stores in Canada in 2008. For 'Swimming In The Sun', founding member, vocalist and guitarist March Ciaccari tapped drummer Dean Glover, percussionist Greg Noguera, and bassist Mike Simpson. The album was recorded at BWC Studios (The End, Moneen) in Toronto. The album was then mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Converge, Mastodon) in New York.
Denver thrashers Havok continue their metal assault today confirming May 22nd as the North American release date of their new EP titled 'The Point Of No Return'. Recorded by the band with final touches coming via James Murphy (Death, Testament), the EP will contain two brand new songs plus a few Havok reworked cover tunes. 'The Point Of No Return' precedes the band's first European adventure beginning early May.

'Powerplay' is the second album by Swedish progrockers Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion. About a year after the release of their critically highly acclaimed debut 'Futurepast' (Sept. 2010), the band entered the studio to cut the backing tracks for 'Powerplay' (April 2012).
Australian melodic death metallers Be'lakor announce they're currently working on their 3rd album, yet untitled. The band is currently locked at Pennydrop Audio in Melbourne with Warren Hammond as the engineer. All tracking is now complete. The album is later being mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Paradise Lost) in Sweden by Jens Bogren.

Filled with 11 original compositions recorded at Circo Perrotti Studios (Gijon, Spain) by Jorge Explosion and Mike Mariconda, this LP explores the acid side of the combo: sitars, fuzz, horns, strings, tablas and strange effects surround bitter-sweet songs paying tribute to Love, Bonniwell Music Machine, the Beatles or les Fleurs de Pavot. Containing garage anthems ("la Mauvaise Graine", "Yin Yang Young", "Elle n'aime qu'elle-même"), acid daydreams ("Lundisamedimache", "Alone In The Sun," "Coffee And Tea") or a lysergic tango ("Suzanne ouvre-toi"), 'Evolution Française' is an hallucinating kaleidoscope of addictive sounds.
Initially planned for release in January, Brooklyn bastards Vise Massacre's debut LP 'Expendable Humans' has been delayed due to circumstances beyond the band's control. Something got jacked with the master and had to be corrected, but it's not really interesting or important… we're just here to spread the word that the LPs are being packed now, and set for arrival at the end of the month, which will allow 'Expendable Humans' to finally trample mankind on March 6th. Ides Of Gemini is a collusion of musical forces precipitated by the haunting and inimitable vocal prowess of singer/bassist Sera Timms, also of Los Angeles dark-psych alchemists Black Math Horseman. The compositions are the long-simmering mental fallout of veteran music and film journalist J. Bennett (guitar/backing vocals). The third and final corner of the triangle is Kelly Johnston, whose martial drumming techniques and soaring backing vocals literally brought Ides Of Gemini to life as a performing entity.
The Dandy Warhols have been a band for 18 years. 'This Machine' is the Dandy's 8th official studio album and was recorded over the course of 2011 at The Dandy Warhols rock clubhouse/ entertainment megaplex/studio The Odditorium. The band recorded the album with their longtime engineer - producer Jeremy Sherrer. Taylor-Taylor describes this record as "stripped down, woody and extremely guitar centric."
