New Zealand’s extreme metallers Ulcerate have announced a weekend of Australian tour dates this September.

Grindcore legends Repulsion have been forced to pull out of East End’s Third Annual Block Party in Portland, OR. The event is set to take place on July 8th and features appearances by Danava, Lord Dying, and Witch Mountain among others. Repulsion founder and guitarist Matt Olivo commented on the situation: "Repulsion regrets to inform our fans that due to an unfortunate misunderstanding we will not be playing the July 8th East End Block Party in Portland. We're sorry this has happened and hope to perform for the great city of Portland sometime soon. We encourage you all to still attend this incredible show and support your local scene."
Following the doom-laden guitar assault that was 2010's, 'Must Destroy,' Madison, Wisconsin power-trio Droids Attack has announced an upcoming Summer US tour beginning early next month, taking the band throughout the Midwest, East Coast and southern portions of the country. The band will be hitting the road for two weeks of dates before entering the studio later this Summer to begin recording their new full-length album due out later this year.

Testament's new album 'Dark Roots Of Earth' is due out on July 31st in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was produced, mixed and mastered by acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Accept, Exodus). Special bonus tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered by Juan Urteaga (Machine Head, Exodus, Ted Nugent, Night Ranger) at his Trident Studios. Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with Atheist, Sigh, Anacrusis and Gwar, among others, provided the cover artwork.

Louisiana hard rock luminary, 12 Stones, has announced a month-long summer headlining trek – its first headliner in support of the May 2012 release, 'Beneath The Scars' – set to kick off on July 6th in Merriam, KS. The run will hit 25 U.S. cities before wrapping up in Marietta, GA on August 7th, and will feature Blameshift, Digital Summer and Throwing Gravity in support. Mumford & Sons are pleased to announce the details of a summer tour across the US, beginning on August 1st in Hoboken, NJ. The Hives will return to the U.S. this Fall for a West Coast run in support of their lauded new album 'Lex Hives'. Kicking off September 6 in Vancouver, the band will make stops in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas and more. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 29. The September tour will expand on the band's current U.S. outing, which kicked off last week to a sold-out Washington D.C. crowd and has seen immense praise, with Philadelphia Inquirer proclaiming "The Hives have been single-handedly saving rock and roll," and the Washington Times stating "The Hives played the audience like a fiddle."
Crowd favourites The Balconies are back on the road this Summer with a slew of festivals in both Canada and the United States, including Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this week, and Edgefest at Downsview Park in Toronto on July 14th. The trio will also be supporting Los Angeles-based group The Aggrolites for three dates this August, including a stop in their hometown of Ottawa on August 2nd.
Kentucky's Dead Icons will kick off "The Lifer Tour" this Friday with Lionheart and Thick As Blood. The tour features some of the best of the current hardcore bands on the scene! The Dead Icons guys will be playing most of their new songs off the new Bullet Tooth album 'Condemned'. Dead Icons bassist Stanley Sievers checked in to say: "We're very excited to be part of the 'Lifer' tour with Lionheart and Thick As Blood! The tour is going to a bunch of cities that we've played many times and it will be great to see our friends all over the country. Hopefully this tour will bring out people that have been listening to us for a while now and also allow our band to appeal to some fresh ears."
Olympia, WA's cult rock and roll band Milk Music are about to embark on a full US tour in July, including a stop at Pitchfork Festival. Today, the band are sharing a new/old track to celebrate the tour. "Violence Now" originally appeared on a very small run of flexi discs as a split effort with Carrie Keith of Gun Outfit. They were included with an issue of the Olympia based NUTS! Fanzine. If you didn't have a friend who was in the know, or were already familiar with NUTS!, chances are you didn't get one. You can hear the dirty, fuzzed out anthem right now, released digitally for the first time.
