BRUTAL TRUTH, VOIVOD, BLACK ANVIL & BLACK TUSK Confirmed For 2010 Scion Rock Fest

Relapse artists Brutal Truth, Voivod, Black Anvil and Black Tusk have been confirmed for the 2010 Scion Rock Fest to be held Saturday, March 13th in Columbus, OH. This free event will be held across four different venues (Circus, Skully’s, Newport Music Hall, and Bernie’s Distillery) along Columbus’ N. High St., near the Ohio State University campus. Brutal Truth recently saw the release of 'Evolution In One Take: For Grindfreaks Only! Volume 2' earlier this month via Relapse. 'Evolution In One Take...' is the band playing their brand new album 'Evolution Through Revolution' start to finish, in one live take at Mark It Zero studios with engineer Dan O’Hare. Voivod have just released their 'Infini' album, which includes the last 13 tracks to be written with late guitarist Denis “Piggy” D’Amour. Audio samples taken from Infini can be heard online now via the official Voivod MySpace page: www.myspace.com/voivod. Voivod has announced the first US dates in support of 'Infini', beginning in early March and including this Scion Rock Fest date. A complete listing of tour dates and cities can be found HERE.

Black Anvil are preparing to enter the studio this weekend to begin recording their follow-up to 'Time Insults The Mind'. The band’s sophomore effort is expected to see a May 2010 release date. Additional recording / release information will be announced shortly. 'Time Insults The Mind' is currently streaming in its entirety at www.blackanvil.info.

Black Tusk is also working on recording their Relapse debut, tentatively titled 'Taste The Sin'. The band is recording at the Jam Room Recording Studio in Columbia, SC with engineers Jay Matheson and Steve Slavich. A spring release date is expected with more details to be announced shortly.
