Presented by Collectivision, As The Smoke Fades is a feature-length documentary film about the story of the defunct Moose Jaw, SK-based hardcore rock band, The Holly Springs Disaster. The film, centered around the group's sold-out 2014 reunion show in Toronto, Canada, explores their formation and fast rise from sweaty basements to large concert halls.
The much-loved band, who encountered a tumultuous break up in 2010, reformed in December of 2014 for two chaotic sold out shows. As The Smoke Fades is your chance to grab a seat side-stage and watch one of Canada's most exhilarating live bands ever.
The film is Collectivision’s first feature-length documentary, as well as the directorial debut for Daniel Bray and JE Nicholson. Bray and Nicholson have worked tirelessly for two years to amass and curate the large volume content needed for this film.
The world theatrical premiere for A s The Smoke Fades will take place at 6:30pm on April 20th, 2017 at The Regent Theatre (551 Mt Pleasant Rd, Toronto ON).
