Another busy week in rock which has seen Children Of Bodom announce they're working on a new album, Mike Shinodo announce his Post Traumatic debut album and Devildriver reveal a teaser of their new album. Here are a few of the other stories which might have slipped under your radar:

1. Palm Reader Release New Song "Internal Winter"
Palm Reader have shared their epic new track "internal Winter" taken from their highly anticipated third studio album, Braille which will be released April 6th via hotly tipped UK independent label Silent Cult Records. Check it out here.

2. Modern Maps Sign New Deal with Rise Records
Rise Records has signed Southern California trio Modern Maps. The band will release its label debut Hope You're Happy on the 1st of June. Pre-orders for the album are available here and you can check out their new video for "Nightfall" online now.


3. Baest Sign Deal with Century Media Records
Century Media Records has announced the worldwide signing of Danish death metal act Baest, whose moniker translates to ‘beast’ or ‘brute’ in the band’s native language and are highly influenced by bands such as Bloodbath, Grave, Entombed and Dismember. Look out for the band performing across the European metal festival circuit this Summer ahead of the release of their first full-length, which will be released in Summer 2018.

4. Hoobastank Announce Release of New Album 'Push Pull'
Hoobastank have announced the release of their sixth studio album titled Push Pull on Friday, May 25. For the new album, the band partnered with producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Deftones, Maroon 5, Andy Grammer) in Los Angeles marking their first release on noted rock independent label Napalm Records. Pre-orders for Push Pull will be available starting April 4 and will include a download of “More Beautiful” the first track released off the album.

5. Eels Release New Single "Bone Dry"
Eels have released a new song "Bone Dry" which follows the recent release of “Premonition” with both songs being lifted from the new Eels album The Deconstruction, out April 6 on E Works/[PIAS].


6. Crooked Teeth to Reissue 'Pastel EP' on May 11, 2018
Southern California’s Crooked Teeth will re-issue their Pastel EP on 11th May via Rude Records. To mark the announcement, the band unveils new single "Crawl" in the form of a heartfelt music video. “"Crawl" is about talking yourself away from a toxic relationship, be it platonic or intimate. It's about healing, learning and moving on from an experience that could have potentially altered your core in a negative sense.


7. Stand Atlantic Release "Chemicals" Video Ahead of European Tour Dates.
As a thank you to fans for all of their support, Stand Atlantic have unleashed a new music video for “Chemicals”, the latest single off Sidewinder. The video takes fans behind the scenes of the recording of the EP and special performances. Stand Atlantic will be hitting the road with State Champs and Knuckle Puck on a slew of dates across Europe in May, before a one-off UK headline show at London's Camden Assembly on 25th May, followed by Slam Dunk Festival.


8. Normandie Sign New Deal with Easy Life Records
Swedish rock outfit Normandie have signed a deal with Easy Life Records, the label home to Lower Than Atlantis, Arcane Roots, Waterparks and more. After a huge response following the release of their debut album Inguz, the quartet will release an extended edition of the critically acclaimed record on 13th April 2018 via the label. Inguz - Gold Edition will feature the original album tracks, follow up singles "Ghost" and "Pay For This" as well as alternative tracks that were recorded at Soundtrade Studios.

9. Brighton Band Orchards Sign to Big Scary Monsters
Big Scary Monsters have announced that they have signed Brighton-based quartet Orchards and will be revealing further details of new material over the coming months. The band head out on tour with Minnesota trio Tiny Moving Parts across Europe and the UK next month and are now streaming brand new track "Luv You 2" which is released 4th April 2018.
