On 26th March 1988 Paradise Lost had their first ever rehearsal at Studio X in Halifax and now all these years later they will take things straight back to the city where it all began with a special one-off intimate show at The Lantern in Halifax on Saturday 22nd September.

With a venue capacity of only 150 this will be the closest fans will get to seeing Paradise Lost as it was in the old days and is an event that is unlikely to ever be repeated.

Vocalist Nick Holmes comments: "Surprisingly, we have never ever played our home town of Halifax, so as it's the bands 30th year, we thought it would be a good idea to do a one off special intimate show in the band's birth place, and in a relevantly new venue, where we would probably play if we were starting out again today! We started out in West Yorkshire and so it makes sense to celebrate such an important milestone back here.'

Paradise Lost's first ever show was at The Frog and Toad in Bradford and since this time their music has always been synonymous with Yorkshire and the North, whether as part of the Peaceville Records roster or from their intense shows at West Yorkshire’s prominent rock and metal club Bradford Rios. While bands have moved labels and venues have long since closed down Paradise Lost's connection to this part of the UK has remained unbreakable.

Tickets are on sale this Friday from 10am as well as over the bar at The Lantern from 3pm.
