Philadelphia roots rockers Hoots & Hellmouth have released their new EP, Uneasy Pieces, the band's sixth release. The album finds the band in fine form with their signature bluesy Americana, layered with fuzzy, reverb guitars and warm organs. The album offers easygoing grooves and upbeat hooks in contrast to the tension beneath.
Uneasy Pieces is atmospheric, deeply personal and it invites the listener to linger in the experience. The album was recorded at Mt. Slippery studios and mastered by Fred Kevorkian at Kevorkian Mastering.
Uneasy Pieces is released through The Giving Groove which advocates an "artist-friendly, socially conscious" model. As a result, the band will donate half of the album's proceeds towards Pass The Beat, which brings instruments, lessons, and other music education resources to disadvantaged children around the world.
Fans can listen to a sample of Uneasy Pieces with a stream of "The Down Part of Town."
