THE ARMED Release New EP 'Young & Beautiful' for Free Download Online
The Motor City hardcore collective, more commonly known as- The Armed, are proud to release new music to their fans today with the self-produced EP titled- 'Young & Beautiful', available for free below. Mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Trap Them, Coliseum), in addition to the title track, the five song EP contains titles such as: "Pushing Daisies", "Maize Maze", "You Have Died" and "Mujahoudni" a song that features Coheed And Cambria's - Chris Pennie manning the drum throne.
"I've known Tony and Aaron for quite some time. When they sent me the track, I was very excited to dive in," states Pennie. "I always look forward to the challenges that they present from their wide ranging taste in music, large vocabulary of playing and most important to me, sense of urgency in the song. This on top of being great friends made for a very fun, comfortable, and inspiring time of making music." A clip of Chris Pennie tracking drums has been posted below.
For The Armed, the whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. As drummer Tony Wolski puts it, "We prefer to keep things loose," referring to the band's figurative revolving door of talented vocalists and guest instrumentalists that lend their talents to both their live shows and their recorded output. "We strive to be as DIY as possible and fully embrace the internet as a platform to spread our music. We proudly record all of our own music (with the help of Kurt [Ballou] mixing of course), design our own artwork and websites, as well as film and edit our own videos. All of which is done with the help of our friends, and with little to no budget."
Other guest performances on 'Young & Beautiful' include: Dave Graw (Bang Bang), Chad Nicefield (Wilson), Randall Kupfer (Old Gods), Adam Senko, and Trevor Naud (Zoos of Berlin).
