Virginia Rock Act FIGHT THE LION Take a Long Shot of Jagermeister

Alexandria, Virginia’s own, Hard Rock outfit Fight The Lion, featuring Jake Mimikos (lead vocals, guitar), Ron Cruz (guitar, vocals), Jason Proctor (bass), and Shawn Battle (drums, vocals) are thrilled to have Jägermeister using the bands track "Long Shot Kid" off of their debut release, 'When the Mighty Fall,' (currently available on iTunes).

The song, which is being used on a company-wide Jägermeister promotional video presented as part of Jägermeister’s JägerForLife initiative can currently be seen at THIS LOCATION. The JägerForLife campaign is a collaboration between Jägermeister and some of the world’s most talented tattoo artists including: Mario Barth, Josh Lord, and Ruthless.

Additionally, Fight The Lion will be performing a set of shows in support of 'When the Mighty Fall' this Fall beginning with a benefit show for drummer Scott Thomas of the band Parmalee on October 29th at the Diamond Club in New Bern, North Carolina. Thomas, 37, was critically injured when he was shot three times during an attempted robbery of the band outside a Rock Hill, S.C. nightclub on September 21st. One of the two men carrying out the robbery was killed during an exchange of gun fire with Thomas and the other was injured.

Fight The Lion have gone on to play over 80 shows sharing the stage with legendary acts such as Poison, Def Leppard, Cheap Trick, Candlebox, Lifehouse, Thriving Ivory, and most recently this summer’s Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour featuring acts such as Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Hell Yeah, Stone Sour, Halestrom, Airbourne and others.
