This past Monday I had my socks rocked off at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. The intense action, acrobatics and visual appeal of dancing horns, made this one of the most fun and entertaining shows that I've seen in a while.

Vintage Trouble started off the evening. This American rhythm & blues band have played with the likes of The Who and AC/DC, and holy shit do they know how to rock! Singer Ty Taylor is an entertainment machine; dressed in a vintage checkered suit, he wowed the fans by flying through the air and testing out just how far he can lean backwards while still singing with a vintage microphone.

The next thing I know, Ty is flying over us out into the crowd. I lost track of him for a while then saw him up in the balcony, I lost sight of him a second time and then he appeared on top of the crowd, surfing his way back to the stage. A great band to see live, and a great band for guys to bring a date to. If you know what I mean.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue were the main act of the evening. I'm not really sure what music genre I would put them in. They're kind of a New Orleans jazz and rock n' roll explosion. Wailing guitars accompanied by saxophones of all shape and sizes, a trumpet and of course, the trombone. Just a really intense and fun band to see live.
