UK rock n' rollers Concrete Kingdoms are no strangers to touring. With this in mind, we asked the rising rockers to give a unique insight to most under-rated venues throughout the UK. Here's what they dug up for us:
1.Club Rock, Carlisle
Although quite modest on the outside, Club Rock is deceptively spacious on the inside with an equally large stage and impressive sound set up. The venue hosts a range of rock originals and tribute bands, and the atmosphere is electric when the place fills up. Top notch venue!
Located in a basement just off the high street, Trillians is at the very heart of rock music in Newcastle. Very much focused on showcasing the best of the rock scene, the team are easy going and put on some excellent shows, definitely a huge asset to the North East.
3.Dreadnought Rock Club, Bathgate
The home of rock music in West Lothian, the team at Dreadnought boast an extremely slick sound set up that ensures everything runs really smoothly on gig night, and the bands are always made to feel well looked after. Venues like this are really crucial to the Scottish rock scene.
4.PJ Molloys, Dunfermline
Our hometown venue, PJs is a fairly small venue buts hosts an impressive range of gigs from small local acts all the way up to well established household names. The sound quality is amazing for such a small venue, and the atmosphere on the busier nights is unreal!
5.La Belle Angele, Edinburgh
Hidden at the bottom of Edinburgh's Cowgate, La Belle Angele will always be special to us. A mid-sized, but highly ambitious venue which has hosted some great nights with some genuinely big names over last few years, we are fortunate to have been a part of some of these!
Concrete Kingdoms release their new, self-titled EP, on August 17, 2018.
