American rapper Goldlink has teamed up with production king Kaytranada to bang out a coy, vibey single called "Meditation" right in time for summer. The beat is an interlope of Kaytranada’s catchy "Track Uno" and features the vocals of Jazmine Sullivan on the hook; a perfect counterpart to Goldlink’s salacious bars.

This single pays homage to a vivacious girl Goldlink once met and presumably wishes to see again: "You the one, you the one now." Jazmine acting as his female counterpart seems to agree, claiming repeatedly that she wants to be his lady. However, the story surrounding their relationship is ambiguous: they want to be together, but there are issues keeping them apart.

The song abruptly ends in conflict, with the sound of arguing voices and gunshots. In a classic West Side Story debacle, whether the song’s duo is alright, whether they reconcile their relationship, is left in the air. Overall, "Meditation" is a catchy, buoyant track; a perfect addition to a summer playlist.
