Interview with Grave Maker drummer Wayne Kong
Drummer Wayne Kong for the hardcore band Grave Maker answered some questions for me about the band's newest release Ghosts Among Men. If it is hardcore you crave then look no further! This disc is a scorcher that pummels the listener with a vicious attack of killer hardcore. Thirty seconds into this disc I was sold hook, line and sinker. I absolutely love the energy and the intensity of these songs; they really get the blood flowing.
Interview with 10 Years drummer and guitarist Brian Vodinh
Fans of the alternative/modern rock band 10 Years, rejoice! The group is back and will be releasing their newest offering Feeding the Wolves on August 31st. The band has two singles that have been certified Gold and their song "Wasteland" reached Number 1 on the Alternative and Billboard Modern Rock charts. I recently chatted by phone with guitarist Brian Vodinh about the new record and band's plans for the upcoming year.
Interview with Shinobi Ninja drummer Terminator Dave
Shinobi Ninja is a high-energy Brooklyn based band that combines elements of reggae, rock, metal, punk and hip-hop into what they call Voltron-eque. The band recently released their second CD The Baby G EP which contains numerous apps that will entertain the user and keep them up to date on the band. The group is now getting ready to head back out on the road in support of the new release and I caught up with drummer Terminator Dave…
Interview with Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner
I recently attended the Mayhem Tour in Virginia Beach, Va. and while there were many bands playing that night I was particularly impressed by Shadows Fall's performance. It was with great pleasure when a few days later I was able to catch up with drummer Jason Bittner by phone to discuss the tour and how the band is dealing with the stifling heat. The show on this particular night was quite incredible and the band was in top form as they pounded the nearly sold out crowd with some serious molten metal.

Hero Destroyed: "There Is No Plan B"
I'd like to take a minute, and quote the people at Steamwhistle Breweries in Toronto: "do one thing, really, really well". Hero Destroyed a.k.a. Zach Moore, Dustin Newman, Jeff Turko, Pat McNicholas and Neal Andrus definitely have championed the concept of technical, bad-ass riffs and as such showcase them "really, really well" on their first full length Throes.

Interview with drummer Gene Hoglan
Gene Hoglan, the legendary drummer, spoke with me recently about his latest project, The Atomic Clock DVD. Hoglan was recently nominated in the "Best Drummer" category at the second annual 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards and his resume reads like a veritable who’s who in the metal world, (he has played with Dark Angel, Death, Dethklok, Strapping Young Lad, Pitch Black Forecast and Testament to name but a few) and he is currently touring the globe with Fear Factory.
Interview with Dew-Scented drummer Marc Andree and vocalist Leif Jensen
Drummer Marc Andree and vocalist Leif Jensen of the thrash metal band Dew-Scented spoke with me recently about their latest CD, Invocation. Dew-Scented lay down some serious thrash metal on this disc and fans of the genre would be remiss if they did not check this one out; it is a powerful, all out neck-snapping affair. Here is what the guys had to say about Invocation and the band in general.
