Hellbenders have premiered a new live video. Filmed by VIBE Video Studio, the video features the Brazilian quartet putting on a full-throttle performance of the scorcher "Smashing Cars, Chasing Stars." It's a taste of what American audiences can expect when Hellbenders make their live U.S. debut at this year's SXSW. Hailing from the heart of the Brazilian state Goiás, Hellbenders was formed by four childhood friends in 2007 while still in their teens. With a live show that matches its full-throttle approach to rock n' roll, Hellbenders quickly found themselves sharing stages with the likes of Kyuss Lives, Exodus, Nashville Pussy and Truckfighters.
The German-based electrocore Formation Immersion has released their live-video "Slave," filmed February the 1st. The song is one of three on the current demo You're Not Better Than The Rest! In this video Immersion reveals another side. "Slave" is not as heavy, breakdown-orientated as the songs they've released before, but still nothing like a ballad. The song appears slightly agonized but doesn't lose any of the dynamics rather than delivering more the authentic charisma Immersion is delivering live on stage. "'Slave' is trying to catch the ambivalence of modern social criticism", says vocalist Tobias B. Bacherle. "We tried to put over very own problems when writing lyrics into that one: to criticize while being tolerant, but still sticking to your conscious opinion. And never to forget that you aren't perfect either."

Detroit-based prog metal band Imminent Sonic Destruction has released a new video for their song "Breaking Through." This live, thirteen minute epic video was recorded in 2012 at the band's album release show at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan. Last month ISD completed the search to replace drummer Pat DeLeon, who left the band earlier this year. After several auditions, they have tapped Dan Chapa (Switchline, Rockstar) to be the new member of ISD. Following a successful North American tour with Pain of Salvation and Kingcrow, Imminent Sonic Destruction began working on new music. The departure of DeLeon sidetracked this effort temporarily, and the band shifted their focus to finding a drummer who had the right mix of personality, humor and talent to take over the job. Chapa turned out to be all of those things, as well as an imposing physical specimen at 6'7" tall. The band is now hard at work on the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2012 debut CD, Recurring Themes, which was produced by Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Sepultura).

The Vim Dicta is a young power trio conjure the kind of excitement felt in the late 1960s when three man bands like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience were taking the music world by storm. formed a little over a year ago from LA’s re-energized underground music scene and have worked hard to hone their sound and personnel. Original members Cori Elliott, 21, (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) and Matt Tunney, 20, (lead guitar/backing vocals) make up the nucleus of the trio and have set the tone for the band's remarkable sound along with NYC-based Chicago native Chris "the Fuse" Infusino, 28, (drums and percussion). Already veterans of the road, The Vim Dicta have played over 120 live shows at a diverse collection venues in Southern California and New York City ranging from small "hipster" clubs to large well-known halls. Five piece "fun rock" band One Days Notice released a new music video for their song "Finish What We Started". The video was shot by Matt Howard and is made up of footage from their album release show at the Cleveland House of Blues. "This song is about a person who decides to end a relationship and then regrets it," says guitarist Jesea Lee. "Sometimes when you're in a relationship you have that 'grass is always greener on the other side' mindset and then once you end things you think 'Shit, I messed up, can we just pretend that didn't happen."

New York alternative-rock outfit The Cringe, comprised of front singer and lyricist John Cusimano, James Rotondi (ex-Air, Mr. Bungle), bassist Jonny Matias (ex-Crash Moderns) and drummer Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live Band, Bruce Springsteen) are back with their new live single "Lord Jim" off of their 2012 release Hiding in Plain Sight. Raw as rock music should be, this video plays like forgotten concert footage. Cusimano delivers each line with the swagger and snarl of a 1970's frontman in his element. Hiding in Plain Sight is the fourth studio album of The Cringe, packed with gritty, artful song writing, rock prowess, and the impressive musicality that can only come from years of honing and perfecting the seemingly lost art of being a band. Together since 2004, The Cringe are no strangers to this art.
After approximately thirteen years apart, New York post-hardcore band Quicksand reunited for a second time as the unannounced "special guest" on the fourth night of the Revelation Records 25th Anniversary Shows at The Glass House in Pomona, California. All of the original members appeared on stage for the first time since 1999, performing a five-song set. In January, the band embarked on their first U.S. tour in fifteen years. Baby Bee has released its four-song debut EP, The Shaker, featuring the first single "High Heel Leather Boots." The two-piece featuring brothers Joe Stark (vocals, guitar) and David Stark (drums) stir up a slippery gumbo of swaggering rock 'n' roll, swamp blues, and Southern soul. It's an enigmatic sound that owes as much to Cleveland Crochet as it does to Queens of the Stone Age. That style comes to life on "High Heel Leather Boots." A hyper kinetic riff rides at full speed forward locked into the propulsive drum stomp. You're going to want to "kick it like heel leather boots" the second you hear it. Produced by the legendary Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Stone Temple Pilots), the collection also features "Jet Black", "Another and Another," two more rousing rockers.
As They Burn have premiered a new music video for the song “Medicine 2.0” from their album Will, Love, Life, which features the Parisian metalheads performing live to a sea of banging heads at Hellfest Open Air 2012 in Paris, France. The first track on the album, "Medicine 2.0" is classic As They Burn with atmospheric melodies, groove-inspired riffs and aggressive vocals. Keyboardist, Bastien Jacquesson comments, "Medicine 2.0" is first time we used the classic verse/ chorus/ verse/ chorus/ bridge/ chorus song structure. The epic chorus keeps it from being simply another deathcore song."
Single Mothers are a Canadian hardcore/punk band making a name for themselves touring with bands like Touché Amoré.
