Heavy metal's most infamous act, Cradle of Filth, has launched a lyric video for the new track, "For Your Vulgar Delectation." The song comes from the UK outfit's impending 10th studio album, The Manticore and Other Horrors, which is slated to release in North America on October 30th via Nuclear Blast. Cradle of Filth will spread its darkness upon European lands with a tour throughout November and December.
Chicago metal band Encrust release their debut album, From Birth To Soil today, September 25, 2012 on Density Records. The five-piece is currently on Fender’s Carnival of Death Tour with Obituary, Broken Hope, Decrepit Birth, and Jungle Rot. The band was recently added to the MetalSucks CMJ showcase to be held October 18 in Brooklyn at Public Assembly and includes Pig Destroyer, KEN Mode, and Early Graves along with Encrust.
Ill Nino is pleased to be releasing their sixth studio album Epidemia on October 22nd. Rittir, the twelfth studio album by Norwegian progressive extreme metal band Enslaved, will be released in Europe on September 28th and in North America on October 9th. Rittir is the follow-up to Axioma Ethica Odini, which debuted in North America at #16 on the Billboard Heatseekers (New Artists) chart. Enslaved will be performing in this year’s Barge To Hell cruise from Miami to the Caribbean beginning on December 3rd.
Kill Devil Hill, the new band featuring acclaimed drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, Dio) and bassist Rex Brown, (Pantera, Down) guitar slinger Mark Zavon and lead vocalist Dewey Bragg recently wrapped up a North American tour in support of their self-titled debut album, which was released earlier this year. The group will hit the road again in November playing select headline dates and supporting legendary shock rocker Alice Cooper. This jaunt kicks off November 23rd and runs through December 1st.
Reigning grindcore champions Pig Destroyer have unleashed the highly anticipated first song from Book Burner. Book Burner, the band's razor-sharp fifth-full length and first album in over five years was recorded at guitarist Scott Hull's Visceral Sound Studios. The album will see a October 22nd release via Relapse Records and features 19 tracks with a return to the band's raw, misanthropic sound.

Members of British progressive metal band Threshold have posted a lyric video for the brand new track "Don’t Look Down." The song comes from their upcoming album March Of Progress, which is due out in Europe on August 24th and in North America on September 11th. March Of Progress is Threshold’s ninth studio album and was produced at Thin Ice Studios and Eightspace Studio in the U.K. by Threshold guitarist Karl Groom and keyboardist Richard West.
With much anticipation surrounding their new record, This or the Apocalypse has debuted a brand new single, "In Wolves." This will be the band's first release since Haunt What's Left, produced by Josh Wilbur and Lamb of God's own Chris Adler in 2010. Produced by Kevin Lankford and engineered by Andreas Magnusson, Dead Years is some of the band's most aggressive material to date. Miss May I recently announced their upcoming headlining position on Alternative Press Magazine's annual Fall tour, THE AP Tour Fall 2012, sponsored by PETERSAYSDENIM. Heaven's Cry will be headlining the opening night of the ProgPower Europe Festival in the Netherlands on October 5th. This is a truly special occasion, as the band has not played at the festival in a decade now. After a seven year hiatus, Heaven's Cry reunited in 2011 and soon began writing a new album. The result is Wheels of Impermanence which will be released on September 25th. In the meantime, Heaven's Cry has released a lyric video for Wheels of Impermanence's first single "Compass."
The band known simply as miggs is set to release their fifth studio album 15th & Hope on September 11th. This is the follow up to the band's 2010 record Wide Awake which was very well received. When it came time to record the new album, miggs turned to legendary producer Phil Ramone who has even worked with Frank Sinatra. Sweden's Sister Sin is celebrating its tenth anniversary together as a band this year. After a successful tour of Europe in Fall 2011, the group got down to work on their next record, the forthcoming Now and Forever which will be released on October 23. The band will be playing a bunch of shows in their native Sweden through late August and September, as well as a couple in Finland. The lyric video for the first single "End of the Line" was just released this week.
San Francisco based doom rock band Orchid have just released their long awaited single "Heretic" and accompanying lyric video. The Heretic EP will be available in North America on 10" vinyl in September.
