UK hardcore mob Housefires marked the end of an era in 2012 with the release of this live video, a video which features several members who are now no longer members of the band. A new line-up is in the pipeline ahead of UK dates later this year, but for now this video shows the high standard that is expected of Housefires 2013.
Italian alternative/rock/industrial band IsRain has officially released a video for "Parasite," taken from their debut album Trees Never Sleep. Both members, Alberto and Nico, come from a wealth of musical backgrounds, Alberto spent many years playing with the modern metallers Ashcorn with whom he released an album and some demos. Nico spent over ten years playing with Ensoph with whom he released four albums and toured around Europe. After so many years, both felt it was time for a change musically which led to the formation of IsRain.
Known for his guitar playing as members of the Smashing Pumpkins and A Perfect Circle, James Iha recently completed his first solo album in nearly fifteen years, entitled Look to the Sky. The album, which features such guests as Shudder to Think's Nathan Larson, Karen O and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara and Tom Verlaine, will be released this Winter in Japan, with worldwide releases happening later this year.
Venomous Maximus is one of the most successful metal bands to emerge from Houston in years. Since its formation in 2010, the group has become the go-to metal band in the country's third-largest city, winning back-to-back titles at the Houston Press Music Awards as the Space City's "Best Metal Band" and has shared the stage with the like-minded Mastodon, Pentagram, Saint Vitus, The Sword and Graveyard. Montreal's Endast have debuted a new video for their song "Martyr" off their 2011 album Black Cloud. The video was shot while Endast was stuck in their hotel room in Kamloops with a broken van and after having three guitars stolen midway on their coast-to-coast Canadian "The Elimination Tour." While stranded they managed to come out of a the situation on top and eventually had all three guitars returned. Thanks to help from media, friends and other bands from across North America eventually the guitars were tracked down and returned by the RCMP. In their near nine years together, Endast has toured a remarkable 350,000 miles around the world.
Hatebreed has premiered "Put It To The Torch," the first official music video from their forthcoming new studio album, The Divinity Of Purpose. The song is the first look into The Divinity Of Purpose, which will be released on January 29, 2013 in the U.S. and Canada. Hatebreed heads to Europe this week where they will headline the EMP Persistence Tour 2013. The band kicks off their first official U.S. tour on January 26th in Flint, Michigan and will be on tour through February 17th in Amityville, New York with special guests and label mates, Shadows Fall along with support acts, Dying Fetus and The Contortionist.
Riff Raff were formed as an AC/CD cover band in 1997. Right off the bat they were successful and the number of concerts increased steadily. At some point the band realized, that reaching the next step in their career was not within their reach, if they decided to only remain an AC/DC cover band. In the end the band decided to head into a new direction. Their new CD Leaving D.C. says goodbye to the old school AC/DC sound and introduces a new Riff Raff, musically and visually.

With duel-vocalists Nathan Zorn and Keenan Pylychaty leading the pack, the band dives deep into the human psyche with meaningful lyrics and memorable songs. They recently caught everyone's attention with the recently released video for "Anxiety Attack."
Florida's Hot Water Music has debuted their new music video for "Drag My Body." This track, along with twelve others, can be found on their eighth album in nearly two decades, Exister. Hot Water Music recently announced that they will be hitting the road in 2013, hitting various venues in the U.S. as well as Canada. They also have invited some notable names including The Menzingers and LA Dispute to join them on some of the dates.
This Or The Apocalypse has debuted a second music video for the track, "Hate The Ones You Love" from their latest record, Dead Years. Directed by veteran director David Brodsky, the video is about a group of young post-society survivors unable to cope with the task of killing a stranger who wanders into their territory. All of their coping mechanisms soon begin to unravel. The band released Dead Years late last year to much critical acclaim.
Pandora's Bliss is a kick-ass rock/alt/punk band from Belgium just starting to break into North America. They have a new video for their song "I'm Burnt", which is the first single off their recently released album Oh Glorious Serenity, the follow up to their 2010 debut Melancholic Freedom. The band is currently in the planning stages of doing a very innovative Spring tour of Europe where they will combine their music with different kinds of artistry such as, painting, sculpting and tattooing.
Canadian metal band Shock have released a video for "Slashing to Live", a track from their soon to be released CD Once Denied. The release of the album celebrates the 28th anniversary since the band formed. The band spent the balance of the year in Pebble Studios, recording eight of its classic songs such as "I'm Dangerous," "Paths of Glory," and "Fighting Chance."
New York rock band Hopewell have just released an EP of new material titled Another Music. The first single released from the new effort is a cover of Brian Eno's "Needle In The Camel's Eye" featuring Mark Gardener of the band Ride on lead vocals. Hopewell has kicked off the writing process for the band's new full-length album, tentatively slated for a Fall, 2013 release.
Royal Thunder, the Atlanta-based co-ed quartet whose debut album CVI landed on many Best of 2012 lists, premiered their latest video for "Blue." The clip comes as news of the band's first European tour is confirmed. Royal Thunder will perform a handful of mid-April dates with Pallbearer including a stop at Roadburn on April 18. The band also kick off a month of North American dates, joining Enslaved and Pallbearer for a trek that launches on Jan. 30 at Underground Arts in Philadelphia.

Italian power/progressive metal band Secret Sphere posted a new music video for the track "Lie To Me." The track appears on the band’s latest LP Portrait of a Dying Heart. Secret Sphere recently celebrated their fifteenth anniversary since forming this past Summer and have now released six studio albums. Portrait of a Dying Heart is the first Secret Sphere record to feature new singer Michele Luppi.
