We've joked around about Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland in the past, but it's only because we longed for the days when he helped define '90s rock n' roll. Now that he has passed away from apparent cardiac arrest early on the morning of December 4th, we long for those days even more. Scott helped define the sound of '90s alternative rock and though he had his issues, he was an incredible song writer and even better performer with a knack for writing great melodies. Scott's career was defined by high highs and low lows. He went from selling out arenas and selling millions of records to spending months in jail for breaking probation based on multiple drug arrests. Now that he's gone, it seems like a good time to celebrate his life and his music. This is a live performance of "Atlanta," from the Craig Kilborn show, one of my personal favorite STP songs off of 1999's No. 4. Scott may be gone, but as they say, the music lives on. RIP Scott.
