Turisas are busy brandishing their metal to packed audiences across Europe and the United Kingdom, but that's not keeping the Finnish metal warlords from painting America red and black. Today the band premiered the lyric video for "Piece By Piece." Turisas released their new album Turisas2013 last month and it has received rave reviews from critics. The new album was produced by vocalist Mathias Nygard, and was recorded by Nygard and guitarist Jussi Wickstrom in a remote house outside of Helsinki, Finland.
Following the release of Furor Incarnatus in early 2013, guitarist and producer Ola Englund quickly started writing on a new Feared album, which is now fully recorded and ready for release in November. Titled Vinter, the band’s fourth full-length record marks the debut of Jocke Skog, formerly of Clawfinger on bass guitar, who also handled the production work along with Ola Englund. Here's what Ola had to say about the new album: "After Furor I quickly felt the need to show our fans that we are not resting, even though we are all working with our other bands. I've always felt that Feared is an ongoing experiment and with Vinter I feel like we've found our home." Regarding Jocke Skog joining as new bass player, Ola comments: "I've always been an admirer of Jocke and one day it just occurred to me; why the hell haven't I asked him to join the band already? Jocke has so much musicality in him I know he will make a perfect fit in the band. He has already contributed so much to the production side of Feared, and now he's also going to crush it live with us."

The video was shot by Matt Howard and is made up of footage from their album release show at the Cleveland House of Blues. "This song is about a person who decides to end a relationship and then regrets it," says guitarist Jesea Lee. Veteran alternative metal act, Ra has announced an October 15, 2013 release date for Critical Mass, the band's fourth studio album and first since 2008. The highly-anticipated Critical Mass also marks the return of the band's original lineup - guitarist/vocalist Sahaj Ticotin, bassist P.J. Farley, guitarist Ben Carrol and drummer Skoota Warner. "I believe this record to be the most complete album we've ever made, but also the heaviest," said Ticotin. "There is a conscious effort here to be more respectful of hard rock/metal roots and less on being too touchy feely. I really wanted this record to feel intense, even on the more light hearted songs. For once I don't feel as if I compromised on any aspect of the writing for this record." Considered by many to be the most underrated hard rock band still releasing music today, Ra's record sales have topped 400,000 in the U.S., with the band's three previous studio albums all debuting in the Billboard Top 200. The group has toured with the likes of Shinedown, Seether, Stone Sour, Saliva, Halestorm and more.

The group's blues-infused, classic-minded rock recalls the glory days of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, and ZZ Top, albeit with a fresh, modern sensibility.
Hearts & Hands have premiered their new music video for "The Chosen Ones." This is the first official music video from their new full-length album My Own Machine, produced by Stephen Hawkes (Attila). Alex Lyman says, "'The Chosen Ones' song and video is about the perception that a large portion of society feels to express as the correct and incorrect way of living your life, the general message of the song is about paving our own roads, not following the pathways that society feels we should follow." The Salt Lake City, Utah group's sound melds hardcore, metal, electronic, pop punk, and even a little classical music. In 2010 while working as a guitar tech for Chelsea Grin, Lyman began toying with what would become the very first Hearts & Hands song. The band recorded the resulting material and released a 5 song self-titled EP last year.
Dutch death/thrash metal brigade, Kill Division have launched their first music video for "Mechanic Domination." Commenting on the video, the band said, "we had a great time shooting the video for 'Mechanic Domination' since the location is pretty extraordinary." "Mechanic Domination" comes off the band's soon to be released debut album Destructive Force. Taking their experiences from Legion of the Damned, God Dethroned, Asphyx, and Inhume, Richard Ebisch (guitars, bass, vocals), Susan Gerl (guitars, vocals) and Roel Sanders (drums) decided it was time to release their combined sound on the World with this new record. Destructive Force was recorded at Toneshed studio, the place they called home for many late nights and mixed and mastered at Andy Classen's Stage One studio with hammer, care, and kerosene.
Directed and edited by Jérôme Piel-Desruisseaux for Origin Prod and produced by 106 db’s Döm Bérard, "The Crucifier" comes from Crucified Barbara's latest album The Midnight Chase. Regarding the video shoot, Crucified Barbara guitarist and backing vocalist Klara Force said: "The gig part of the video was shot at Le Forum in Vauréal outside of Paris on a day off during our French Spring tour earlier this year. Basically we rocked out the entire day, head-banging our necks sore, fantasizing about bloody revenge on ex-boyfriends and evil bosses. We got in contact with the director through our French booking agent and we all thought 'Hell yeah!' when we read the synopsis. Unfortunately, we weren't able to be on the set when the acting part of the video was shot, but we were blown away when we saw the final result. A young girl retaliating against her abusive, sinister mother with a pair of scissors in an old-school horror movie-looking video is definitely something right up the 'Justice For The Weak' alley of Crucified Barbara."
TesseracT have posted their video for the track "Nocturne", taken from their critically acclaimed album, Altered State. The band comments on the video: "As we haven't taken part in our promo videos for a while we felt now was the time to make an appearance. But, we also wanted to create a journey with the video that was similar to the journey portrayed by the music. We have always really liked the idea of creating silhouettes (we tried to something similar with our first video, "Deception"), so we decided upon using back lights for the majority of the video, which is then reversed when the feeling of the music changes towards the end of the track." Altered State is divided into four movements: Of Matter, Of Mind, Of Reality and Of Energy and Altered State represents the transformations that TesseracT has gone through over the past few years.

Birmingham grindcore enigma Purify The Horror have unleashed their new official music video from the band's untitled debut EP. Filmed and edited by Karl Murray of Gwynplaine Media, the video for "Pig" features the same level of violence and disregard for human life as the song it accompanies. The group consists of three individuals prominent within the underground music scene who have decided to remain anonymous and adopt the image of filthy pigs in an effort to effectively incite the grind revolution. The band's untitled debut EP is a 17-minute long celebration of sensory depravity propounded by a vile concoction of filthy riffage, blast-beats and a dual vocal attack.
Germany's own progressive metal powerhouse, Neberu have released the video for their debut single "Decompressed." Featuring special guest and classically trained singer Tarja Turunen, the video for the title track off Within Temptation's new 4-song EP Paradise (What About Us?) is now here. The collaboration with Tarja (former Nightwish vocalist) is indeed unique. Within Temptation fans have been speculating on the identity of the guest vocalist for some time, but very few expected this combination; while the two respective bands are seen by many as the pioneers of their genre, they are also seen as competitors. However, Within Temptation's front woman Sharon den Adel reveals, "Tarja was our instant favorite partner for this! When we listened to the demo version of 'Paradise,' it was clear that her classical voice would fit perfectly."
