Wouldn’t it be great if you could be superhuman? I’m sure this thought has crossed your mind. Since you can’t be, though, why not at least feel like one by grabbing our latest free song download for “Superhuman,” courtesy of Chicago’s Blacklist Regulars. Remaining true to their multi-national hard rock roots, “Superhuman” is a pounding piece of anthemic rock that gives you a swift kick of alt-rock riffs, solid production and those grungy melodies we’ll never get sick of. Unlike its name, “Superhuman” is actually centred around the idea that it’s alright to not be “superhuman,” or at least that it’s ok to not rise above the stakes all of the time. It also deals with freeing your grip of all of those expectations you’ve become attached to and overcoming the demons that we all possess.

With an exclusive comment just for us, lead singer Luke Keating stated, “We are stoked to have our track ‘Superhuman’ as an exclusive download with PureGrainAudio... we appreciate the support! The song is written around the idea that it’s ok not to be ok sometimes, or ‘Superhuman’ in this case, particularly when it’s focusing on people who spend their lives in the public eye. Having gone through issues myself with alcohol, drugs, and depression and come out the other side of it, this song deals with letting go of expectations and overcoming your demons. It’s an important song for us and our fans, and we’re excited to be sharing it with them now and on our Fall U.S. tour.”

Although they may be currently stationed in Chicago, Blacklist Regulars couldn’t come from more different parts of the world. Keating hails from Ireland, while the other three members are natives of Venezuela. As a result of the lack of musical opportunities in both countries, in addition to the corrupt political situations, the four members left their respective homes in search of greener pastures in a more opportunistic environment. Merely by chance, they all wound up in Chicago and with their similar tastes in music, they were brought together and have since been striving to create the most authentic rock n’ roll they can for the true fans of the genre that live around the globe.

Songs tend to centre around real-life difficulties such as addiction, despair but in the face of these challenges, hope, resilience, honesty, and passion. Some other acts that have taken notice of Blacklist Regulars include Saving Abel, Adelitas Way, Deadset Society, and September Mourning. After a recent tour of the United States with Flaw Blacklist Regulars will be headed out on a massive fall tour titled the Days of Disorder Tour with some massive names that we think you’ll know; Powerman 5000, Hed Pe and Adema. It’s time to take notice of this still-emerging band so what are you waiting for? Check out the band’s latest album, Through the Blast, which is out now via Pavement Entertainment and can be found on Spotify and iTunes.
