Hungry for some Hungarian metalcore? Thought so. We were too. To help quench that appetite we’ve got some new music thanks to the fast-rising quintet Faminehill and the premiere of their song “Ascend”, the title track and third single from the group’s upcoming debut, Ascend. Out this Friday, April 5th, via Los Angeles-based indie metal label Famined Records, the track follows previous singles “Torn” and “Ruin,” the latter of which can be viewed below.

Metalcore, more often than not, is not well executed. Faminehill avoid that trend and their fast rise is proof. Having already toured across Europe opening for acts the likes of Bury Tomorrow and Texas in July, concertgoers are quickly met with accomplished musicians pulling of a tight set consisting of songs built around big breakdowns, mucho melodious moments and vocals that are both on clean and screamed. You’re likely to hear of this name again soon from another publication but don’t be late to the game, pre-order Ascend today! (Or, if that’s not your jam, maybe follow them on Spotif.)

If this song doesn’t help Faminehill to “Ascend” further, then nothing will!

Speaking of the album’s title track, guitarist and vocalist Tamas Stefan commented: “‘Ascend’ is the title track of the album. The lyrics refer to overcome different feelings which makes our everyday life harder. In this case it is mostly about mental illnesses. We found that this could be the title track because it represents the main message of the album. The song is about trying to point out that we all suffer from the same things in different ways and we can also find a way to break them.”
