With the vast array of American bands flooding the international rock and punk scene, it can be easy to disregard the wide range of international talent. This is precisely why we bring to you Japanese group The Sensations, and the premiere of their latest track “I Don’t Believe In You”. Formed in Tokyo exactly one decade ago, The Sensations pick from the best of punk, hardcore, third wave ska, soul and even ‘60s pop to deliver a unique flavor you’re not getting from any other band currently outputting tunes.

They’re excited to be making some headway in North America with their Paper + Plastick Records debut, Just Let Me Turn You Up, a fun and exciting record due out on October 19th that will be sure to corral the tastes of North American listeners of rock, punk, ska, etc... You can pre-order the album RIGHT HERE!

With a comment on “I Don’t Believe In You,” the band’s Osawa17 said, “People who didn’t care before were buttering us up to get close to us and doing whatever they wanted to do. This sort of thing might happen in various situations. We wrote this song when we were just fed up with this attitude. This song is dedicated to the self-appointed punks who only care about figures and values and love to follow trends.”

Regarding Just Let Me Turn You Up, he continued, “We are so grateful for releasing this album and thank Paper + Plastick Records with great sincerity. Since I started checking out the bands from Far Out Records, the record label I was into when I was a student, like Less Than Jake, Against All Authority, Sam the Butcher, Bingo Mut, The Crumbs, Discount, and so on, Florida for me has been a special place where the awesome music had been played. Later I started a band and it has been a dream come true that I would release the album in the U.S., from the label from Florida, and even from Paper + Plastick Records. We are really really really happy to play in there Florida and look forward to seeing you all!" And we hope you enjoy listening to our album!”
