In case you’re having trouble getting over that recent bout of Post Party Depression, I think we can help! All you need is our premiere of Rollingchild’s new song “Feeling,” a rad single lifted from the artist’s upcoming album due out October 25th via InCrowd Recordings.. (Pre-order/save the album now via Spotify, Burger Records, and Bandxamp.)

Of the twelve tracks that compose the album, “Feeling” is one of the real standouts and perhaps the best jam on the entire record. Commenting on the song, Rollingchild himself stated, “‘Feeling’ is one of my personal favorite songs on the album. I wrote it while living in California where I developed a small obsession with the apocalypse. I was having reoccurring dreams of massive tsunamis and super volcanos and meteors, and at one point was convinced I would see the end of times.”

So, we ask you, what kind of “Feeling” does this new song evoke in you?

As you can judge by “Feeling,” Rollingchild is a musician who knows what he’s doing, both with his sound and the music’s overall vibe. Rollingchild is the stage name of one Michael Anthony Bostinto, a multi-talented artist who seemlessly blends together feelings of confusion, excitement, depression and inspiration in his music with a healthy dose of inspiration coming from the soulful hip-hop of the 1990s, modern and garage rock. Direct inspiration for his music comes from artists such as Serge Gainsbourg, Eric Burden, The Make-Up, Wu-Tang, and Tribe Called Quest.

Post Party Depression is Bostinto’s most adventurous work yet, as he collaborated alongside producer Randy Michael (Mattiel & The Booze). The album isn’t called Post Party Depression for nothing either, as the theme of the record was motivated by a deep depression that Bostinto was mired in for some time and fundamentally changed his life. The album is in many respects an open book on the previous two years of his life and the lyrics lean on the literal side, rather than the abstract.

Right after he became a teenager, Bostino began to write songs and created his first band, Très Bien (‘very good’ for all you Anglophones) in 2002. The group existed for about eight years until Bostinto temporarly switched careers and became a successful grower of cannabis. The company was turned on its head when cannabis became legalized which helped send Bostinto into a state of deep depression that ended up affecting every important relationship in his life, including his marriage. When the marriage ended, he felt completely lost in life, but an invitation from Randy Michael and Wesley Flowers to travel to Atlanta to try to get back into songwriting resulted in an awakening inside of Bostinto. What came of this return to songwriting is what you hear on Post Party Depression. Through music and realizing its importance to him, Bostinto has found his way again and rediscovered purpose in life, an enriching story that could serve as motivation to anyone who's fallen on hard times.

The lead single off Post Party Depression is “My Money (Grows On Trees).” Check the video:
