The sound of Poison Pill can be linked to some of the metal greats of the past such as Judas Priest and Accept and you'll find such influences and more on the band's self-titled new album. The record contains riff heavy songs such as "Call of The Precious," which has a both memorable and raw chorus that all leads to a frantic and unsettling bridge as an emotional climax. After a hard hitting intro in "Pitch Black," there's some incredible drumming, that's well on display throughout this record. After this hard hitting intro, the haunting verse creates an eerie feeling that may evoke some deep thoughts in you.
There are other highlights along the way, including "Wake The Sinner," which you can check out in the video below. This first release from Poison Pill is the first of a planned trilogy that has already been mapped out in the creative minds of the members of the group, who choose to remain unknown. If you're a fan of classic metal then don't miss out on Poison Pill and this new record.
