Bloodstock Open Air Festival has announced three more additions to the already immense line-up for the 2014 event. Following the confirmation of headliners Down, Emperor and Megadeth, along with a raft of other acts, including Hatebreed, Prong, Flotsam And Jetsam and more, organisers have confirmed that Irish pagan outfit Primordial will be appearing on the main stage on Friday while Italian stars Lacuna Coil will join Liverpudlian extremists Carcass on the Saturday line-up.
Fiery frontwoman, Cristina Scabbia comments: "To be back at Bloodstock will be such a BLAST! I can't wait to see my family of Coilers in the UK again and to meet new friends. I promise pure damn adrenaline from our stage! See ya there!," whilst co-vocalist, Andrea Ferro enthuses: "The UK is one of my favourite places to perform, it's really special. The audiences are so enthusiastic, their approach to rock music just feels similar to my own somehow and that's why I'm really excited to be part of Bloodstock Open Air 2014! It will be Lacuna Coil's second time there and I'm curious to see how the festival has grown. We will have songs from the new album and some LC classics, so see ya all in the Summer!"
Speaking about their appearance, Carcass bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker warns: "Unfinished business... Carcass will return to Bloodstock 2014. With new blood, new album, new songs, we'll be firing on all cylinders. If you think you've already seen this band, think again. We'll see you come what may in the mud and the rain, there to knock the air out of your inflatable swords and knock the wind out of your sails. Let there be rot!"
