Stay alert and be on the lookout for Night Thieves, a rogue group out on the prowl and armed their exciting new debut EP, Battle Cry. The band recently teased their new album with the “Numero Uno” single, but now the time has come to unveil the fruits of their labour with the formal beginning of this emerging quartet’s story. They have been working hard at establishing themselves since forming in 2017, but Battle Cry is the true coming-out party for this energetic melodic rock and pop group intent on forging their own sound to differentiate themselves from others within their genre. The four tracks contained on the EP all offer something a little different, while also maintaining an overall sound that will become undeniably theirs.

Success is often tied to a band’s approach and how they decide what’s going to end up in a song or on a proper EP or album. It can also be tied to having a collection of musicians who don’t take themselves too seriously. Fortunately for Night Thieves, they display both of these characteristics. As the group stated in their own words, “Our approach to music is to create songs that are fun and enjoyable for us to play. We all listen to a wide variety of genres from pop to rock to metal (and their sub-genres) and we think that will come across in the EP. ‘In This City (Say Never)‘ is probably a good example of that. Ultimately we want every song to be an earworm with its own identity and we think we have achieved that.”

Hailing from London England, Night Thieves got down to business on the writing and recording of Battle Cry last year when they took up shop at Stakeout Studios in Hampton to record with producer Jason Wilson. To keep things as real as possible, they went into the process without offering Wilson any musical references of how they wanted to sound. The band members were intent on creating their own sound, and not just any sound but one that would be bold and unmistakable. Fans of Incubus, Royal Blood or Biffy Clyro will likely find a lot to like on Battle Cry with its smooth and melodic pop rock. So get yourself prepared. TheBattle Cry is calling for you.
