Polish black metal pioneers, Mgła are setting out to conquer the United States and Europe as well. First arriving on U.S. soil at Maryland Deathfest in 2014, this time they're here with a fantastic new album Exercises in Futility.
For whatever reason, Poland has seemed to produce some of the greatest black metal bands and albums of all time. It is key to appreciate the excellent music that Poland has provided us with and realize how important those bands are for black metal and metal in general. An opportunity to see a band like this in the states is unique. I'm not saying they won't be back, but this is the band's first official tour of the United States. I would really urge you, even if you are not familiar with them, to make an effort to go witness how great this band really is.
But besides Mgła, the opening acts are great as well. You have Mortuary Drape (Italy) and Sangus (U.S.) covering the east coast and mid-west part of the tour and Weregoat (U.S.) and Sempiternal Dusk (U.S.) covering the west coast. The Los Angeles date also includes a performance by the war metal masters Revenge (CAN)! I cannot stress enough how crucial this tour is, and if you're anywhere near the dates below I highly suggest you make it out to one of these rituals.
