A man of many talents, Robert Lundberg is a distinguished photographer and filmmaker known for his artful documentaries covering the worlds of music, comedy, art, and film. Lundberg grew up in Massachusetts before moving to New York City to fully invest himself in his art and film career. A man who loves a challenge, Lundberg has immersed himself in perhaps his most challenging project yet, a documentary series titled Uncontaminated Sound - The Interviews. The series will follow comedians, musicians, fine artists and actors to get an inside look at their creative process that can only be captured behind the scenes. The purpose is to offer a look at all of those rarely seen “little things“ that transpire during interviews and other similar artist encounters. Most features are heavily edited, capturing certain moments often heavily vetted by those in charge of the content’s creation or final product. But that’s not how Lundberg works. He makes sure to bring you all of the raw, authentic moments that you would never otherwise get a chance to see.

Well, we’re pleased to report that the time has come for Lundberg to unveil his exciting series of interviews with the inaugural episode of Rob Lundberg Presents: Uncontaminated Sound - The Interviews. In this kickoff edition, Lundberg speaks with the talented comedian Mike Cannon. Just last month, Cannon released his first comedy special titled Life Begins independently via his YouTube channel. It has already received a very positive response from comedy journalists, audiences, and Cannon’s comedian peers. Cannon is also gearing up for the release of his sophomore comedy album, also titled Life Begins on February 21st via 800 Pound Gorilla Records.

Commenting on the setting and atmosphere of his chat with Cannon, Lundberg said, “It is December 9th, 2019, a rainy afternoon on the Lower East Side; I sit waiting for the comedian Mike Cannon to arrive at the venue Arlene’s Grocery, he’s kindly agreed to sit down for an unscripted conversation that touches upon craft, family, sports, and more. A month earlier, I captured Mike for a few stills prior to his special at Comedy Cellar Village Underground for my ongoing series Uncontaminated Sound. Presented here is a raw uncut look into the mind of not only a comedian on the rise, but also a newly minted father, and dedicated craftsman.“

Many more artists are lined up to participate in the show, which we will be continually bringing you over the weeks to come. Lundberg has already been bringing you his ongoing series Uncontaminated Sound which goes behind the scenes to get a look at performers before they take the stage. The series has featured Macklemore’s Gemini tour featuring Eric Nally (formerly of Foxy Shazam) and Xperience, Louie Anderson, Sinbad, Ron English, We Are Scientists, Rufus Wainwright and more. Lundberg’s photography has been featured in publications such as Huffington Post, Paste Magazine and more. Mike Cannon is also a frequent guest on many SiriusXM shows, including The Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Show, Barstool Sports Radio and The Bonfire on Comedy Central Radio.
