Welsh rock band The Dirty Youth are currently putting the finishing touches to their second album 'Gold Dust', the follow-up to their well-received 2011 debut, 'Red Light Fix'. Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire (where "Bohemian Rhapsody" was recorded), 'Gold Dust' is produced by Martyn "Ginge" Ford and guitarist and chief-songwriter Matt Bond.
Having spent a good part of the last two years on tours supporting international artists such as Korn as well as taking to the stage at major festivals such as Download at Donington, Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park or Get Away Rock Festival in Sweden, The Dirty Youth are gathering an army of global followers, with fan sites popping up in Brazil, Italy, Germany, Poland and Argentina. Even Japan has its very own TDY tribute band!
"We were just hoping it would hit 1000 plays," recalls vocalist Danni of their debut single "Fight", released two years ago, "and now we’re soon going to hit 3 million views online, which is fantastic, and a testament to our amazing fans. This album is as much for them as it is for us – they are the ones who have helped us live out our dreams and we are extremely grateful. This is our reward to them for sticking with us on this journey."
