Two days earlier the Summer heatwave being enjoyed by the UK came to an abrupt and very wet end with Thursday's James Arthur gig at this very venue being pulled by organisers at the eleventh hour. However, a deluge of rain wasn't going to stop London indie-pop favourites Bastille from putting on a show for their loyal fans.

Dancing from the minute Dan Smith and co hit the stage with opener "Good Grief" and through the likes of "Icarus" and "World Gone Mad", it was clear that even the rubbish weather wasn't going to put a dampner on this Saturday night by the seaside and, it's fair to say that the London outfit made sure their fans had a bangin' night. Through the likes of "Bad Blood" and "Quarter Past Midnight", Bastille delivered a sublime twenty song set but even that wasn't enough for two fans who made sure the night ended in unforgettable fashion.

As the set bounced to a conclusion with hit single "Pompeii", one fan managed to evade security getting onto the stage before bringing his girlfriend up to propose in front of a drenched sold-out crowd. Like everyone who had a ticket for tonight's show, this was an magical way to end this an unforgettable night that was far from the washout it could have been.
