On August, 1st, guitar legend Jeff Beck, of The Yardbirds, fame treated fans at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage to an awesome night of classic rock. Joining him were Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers and Ann Wilson of Heart.

Ann Wilson started the evening off, playing a full set of covers and only 1 Heart song. It was really different to hear Ann sing The Who, Yes, Audioslave, and Eagles tunes, but the crowd really enjoyed it. The first three songs Ann Wilson did were “The Real Me”, “Barracuda”, and “Fool No More”.

Next up was the voice of Bad Company and Free, Mr. Paul Rodgers. Looking and sounding fantastic, strutting back and forth across the stage and spinning his microphone stand in the air, the man was on fire. Another great set of classics left fans singing along. Paul’s first 3 songs were “Little Bit Of Love”, “Can’t Get Enough”, and “Wishing Well”.

If you’ve never witnessed Jeff Beck live, here’s a full live concert from 2017.

A short break to change the stage set up then, as the house lights dimmed, the stage lights lit up in psychedelic colours and Jeff Beck and his band landed. The man is simply amazing on his guitar and, at 74, still plays a little bit of everything, including some Beatles and Jimi Hendrix tunes. All I can think of saying is WOW!!!
