You better be tough enough for our latest premiere... this one comes from South Bronx, New York’s heavy rock group Brand of Julez, and is for their new “Take It All Away” lyric video. The song is motivated by the current political and social climate, and standing up during a time when it’s crucial that our voices be heard, particularly young people who at times are far too passive. It’s not about what’s right or wrong but rather letting the powers that be know that the people can take it all away if we all work together and set our minds to it.
Brand of Julez was formed in 2011 by brothers Julez Zamora (vocals, guitars) and Brandon Zamora (bass, backing vocals) when they were only 16 and 13 years old respectively. Their powerful music, perfect for a live setting, has earned them stage time with Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Ace Frehley, Drowning Pool, Adrenaline Mod, Burn Halo, Orianthi, Alice Cooper and Full Devil Jacket.
Brand of Julez self-produced their debut album FORWARD, which was released earlier this year. Regarding the song, lead singer Julez Zamora said, “At a time where there is so much divide in our country, I wanted to throw myself into the mix. Lies don’t ever work and thinking that the wool is being pulled over our eyes is foolish. There is a voice screaming to be heard from the new generation and ‘Take It All Away’ is this Latino from the South Bronx sharing his.”
