Let us get you familiarized with DBUK, an offshoot of Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, an experimental rock band from the Denver area that formed in 1992. Slim Cessna’s Auto Club became well-known over the years for their eclectic recordings, with one of the integral members being Jay Munly, otherwise known as Munly Munly. The band also became known for its members and their numerous associated side-projects with one of them being DBUK, or Denver Broncos UK, led by Munly Munly.

Similarly to Slim Cessna, DBUK is quite experimental in their sound, with the four members playing numerous traditional instruments, but with a dark theme and feel behind it. They are releasing their sophomore record Songs Nine Through Sixteen (which you can pre-order here) on January 25th and also re-releasing their first record the same day. DBUK will be actively touring behind the new album beginning in early March. You can check out the dates below.

With a comment on the “And God Bless You” single, Munly Munly stated, “I always want and need to improve my writing and most everything else in my life I won’t speak for everyone else, as for myself I am satisfied with the song, for myself it hits at least the two main points that were sought. The first it can be heard as a lullaby as far as melody, pacing, and cadence; and secondly, as with many childhood songs/chants, it has a story that hopefully is seen to have a bit of depth that might make people want to return to it for another listen. This is an exclusive statement by me, Munly Munly.”
