Progressive metal Southern California band Novareign have released a lyric video for their latest track "The Builder" from their debut album Legends. The band's progressive power metal is primarily influenced by ands like Iron Maiden and Dream Theater to Dragonforce and Angra.
Guitarist Danny Nobel said about the track, "The Builder' is a song that paints a color of its own in relation to the rest of the album, as it's the only mid-tempo song. It tells the story of a being – be he fictitious or of practiced belief – who is the creator of all things, physical and abstract alike. The creator of time, space and the cosmic ocean herself. The sculptor of fortunes, if you will. A being of this caliber would most appropriately be the subject of some form of worship, and the song celebrates the existence of a figure like that. Though it's not a sermon or anything, it's kind of cool to talk about all-powerful beings like that. I'd say some comic book elements were a huge influence to the lyrical theme. It's a fun song to play, and hopefully, a fun song to sing along to."
